We are an association of
predominantly five-fold leaders and those called to ministry and
intercession, which have recognized the highest goal in life is to
know Jesus Christ and, in knowing Him, be conformed into His image
and His likeness. We come from many backgrounds, bringing and
submitting the best of our heritage and the strengths of our
cultural distinctions. We are first and foremost men and women of
God, while cognizant of our challenges and weaknesses, not allowing
our imperfections to hinder us from pursuing the heart of God while
committing to a level and measure of accountability, transparency
and fellowship with one another.
We also recognize that, as our love for God matures, we are learning
to love what He loves and hate what he hates. As we grow in Covenant
love, we will love and embrace what Christ loves and embrace. Thus,
we are compelled by the Holy Spirit to love Christ’s Body and to
work collectively with the Holy Spirit to see true holiness and
genuine spiritual unity restored among the born again. While we are
committed to the singularity of Christ as our vital source and
necessity of true virtue and power, we are also committed to accept
and serve the many unique ways and dimensions Christ reveals Himself
through His people.
We are also committed to the tenants and basis of the Great
Commission - Evangelism and Discipleship. For it is the heartbeat
and passion of Christ that none should perish, but all who are lost
receive His love. We fervently believe that God has not finished
pouring His Spirit out among the nations. Because we believe that
“nations” shall come to (His) light (Isaiah 60: 1-3), we maintain
faith, persistent prayers and passion to see the lost of every
people, tribe and tongue come to the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
We purpose to collectively utilize our gifting, grace, anointing and
callings to compel them to come.
While we can be relied upon to supply foundational and leadership
resources and spiritual experience and oversight, those who are lead
to enjoin themselves with this association of Covenant Relationship,
are the individuals who seek to model the maturity of Jesus Christ.
Just as Jesus spoke to the seven (citywide) churches in Asia, and
each city church was independently accountable to Christ (see Rev
2-3), so it is our goal to build, restore and strengthen ministries
in each city. God has ordained that local leaders would receive
grace to see their communities shaped into unique vessels for God’s
Glory. Thus, we honor and esteem denominations and other local
church associations, and seek only to build Christ-centered unity
among all who call upon the name of the Lord. Indeed, we do not want
to minimize the importance of denominational strengths and
resources, we simply seek to serve Christ’s mandate that we would
all be one.
Our first common foundational value is intentionally pursuing the
nature of Christ. Since nothing pleases the Father more than His
Son, it is our desire to be genuinely conformed to the character,
power and love of Jesus Christ. We believe this is God’s vision for
humanity: to create us in the image of Christ and to empower us
through the Holy Spirit to live lives worthy of our callings. Thus,
we do not measure ourselves or our successes based on our
accomplishments, or who and what we become before man, but our
success is measured by how truly Christ-like we become before God.
As we fellowship to strengthen one another, we are also commissioned
to identify, disciple and train leaders to equip the saints for work
of ministry. We believe that what we become far outweighs what we
do. Therefore, men and women of character and integrity, who
practice on a daily basis “Intentionally Being Like Jesus” will
become members of this association of Covenant Relationship as we
follow wholly after the things of God.
In Covenant,
Dr. E.J. McKenzie, Th.D.
